Software Freedom Day

On the 19th of September it’s going to be software freedom day.  Detailed information available at http://softwarefreedomday.org/teams/africa/SouthAfrica/Pretoria, but basically those who can get together at the CSIR from 9:00 till 15:00.  We’ll be handing out some CDs and hopefully some people that’s interested in the whole OSS (not only Linux) pitches up, asks a few questions – makes people feel al warm and fuzzy being able to answer a few questions and satisfying a few curiosities … you know, generally (but hopefully not too much) preaching to the choir, and helping “beginners” find their feet.

Also, there is a copy of the DVD which we’ll be distributing available on the cluon server (as promised) at http://tlug.org.za/opencd (master at rsync://othala.uls.co.za/opencd/ and primary mirror hosted at ftp://ftp.is.co.za/mirrors/za-opencd/).
