Content:

  1. What FOSS Schematics capture/ PCB layout tool are out there. Talk about Eagle CAD (not FOSS but works under linux and has a free version for non commercial), Kicad ect.
  2. Microcontrollers that have FOSS tool chains, AVR (ATMega), ARM, MSP430, Foxboard. Respective projects and how they fit together. I also want to touch on some debugging. GDB and OpenOCD.
  3. Arduino, what it is and how it works, also include a simple demo of the code and bootloader, blink some LED’s.
  4. Foxboard, It’s a embedded SOC that can run a full 2.6.2* Kernel, not uLinux. Have a bit of a demo.
