TLUG was formed by a group of students on the campus of University of Pretoria some years back as means of communicating between the Linux users on campus. It started out purely as a mailing list hosted by the CS department, but has now grown to owning it’s own domain, hosts forums, an IRC channel, a jabber service, this “blog” in addition to the mailing list(s).
